Steel structures have high strength and light weight. Compared to concrete structures, the cross-sectional area of small steel structures increases, thereby increasing the number of buildings. The self weight of steel structures is relatively light, approximately 1/2 to 3/5 of the self weight of concrete structures of the same height.
