ComFlor 210 Equivalent Deep Galvanized Composite Steel Floor Deck is a deep-rib metal slab designed for high-rise steel construction and slim floor systems. Fabricated from Grade 500 Z275 hot-dip galvanized steel, it complies with Eurocode 4, AS 1397 and international structural testing standards. Embossed shear indentations on the panel surface create effective mechanical bonding with cast-in-place concrete, forming an integrated steel-concrete composite floor. It achieves good clear span without dense temporary supports, reducing the quantity of secondary steel beams and lowering overall structural costs for multi-story high-rise buildings.

Table Description: The concrete cover above the steel deck surface directly determines fire protection performance. Mesh layout strictly follows Eurocode 4 specifications. Mesh steel area can be reduced by half at slab midspan without heavy concentrated loads or large openings.

On-site Installation Rules

ComFlor 210 Equivalent supports simply-supported and continuous slab layout, matching common live loads of 3.5 kN/m², 5 kN/m² and 10 kN/m² for high-rise offices, shopping malls and factories.

No temporary props: Maximum 6m clear span under standard 3.5 kN/m² live load and normal concrete slab.

Single row temporary props: Max 7.3m for simple span; max 8.3m for continuous slab.

Double rows temporary props: Max 8m for simple span; max 9.2m for continuous slab.

Temporary supporting timbers must keep minimum 100mm width. All temporary supports can only be removed after concrete reaches 75% of designed compressive strength to avoid slab deflection and cracking.

Support lap standard: The floor deck shall overlap at least 50mm on top of all primary and secondary steel beams for stable bearing.
Side lap fixing: Equip shear clips and self-drilling screws every 350mm along panel overlapping seams to prevent concrete leakage and sliding displacement.
Edge sealing treatment: Use 1.2–2.0mm galvanized edge trim, matched with 600mm interval restraint strips to resist concrete bulging during pouring.
Construction cantilever limit: Single-side unsupported cantilever length shall not exceed 500mm; additional reinforcing steel is mandatory for longer cantilevers.
Slab opening handling: Holes smaller than 300×300mm do not need extra reinforcement; medium & large openings require customized reinforcing bars and sealed edge plates.

ASB asymmetric slim beam: Narrow upper flange and widened bottom flange for direct deck bearing; widely used for standard floor bays.

Binding & Lifting: Steel soft slings are used for loading and unloading; hard steel wire binding is forbidden to prevent surface damage. Custom wooden pallets are optional for container shipment.
