High-rise steel structure generally refers to a structural system with more than six layers (or more than 30m), which is mainly connected or welded by section steel and steel plate, and then connected and welded.
The steel structure has the advantages of high bearing capacity, small cross-sectional size, and light overall weight of the building, and is most suitable for the construction of high-rise buildings. Compared with reinforced concrete structures, it has greater toughness, ductility, deformation capacity and energy dissipation capacity, and is the preferred structure type for high-rise buildings in earthquake areas. Steel-concrete hybrid structure is a new type of high-rise building structure developed recently. It combines the advantages of both steel structure and reinforced concrete structure, and has achieved good economic results.
Advantage:
Steel structure has high strength and light weight. Compared with concrete structure, steel structure has a small cross-sectional area, thus increasing the effective use area of the building. Compared with the tall or heavy buildings used for the construction of heavy loads, the cross-sectional area of high-rise steel structural columns is generally reduced by nearly half that of high-rise concrete structural columns. The self-weight of steel structure buildings is light, which is about 1/2 to 3/5 of the self-weight of concrete structures of the same height. The reduction of the self-weight of the structure reduces the natural vibration period of the structure, reduces the seismic force, and then reduces the design internal force of the structure. In addition, the reduction of the weight of the structure can also reduce the cost of the foundation.
The manufacturing cycle of steel structure is short and the construction speed is fast. Most of the components of steel structure are produced in the factory and transported to the site for overall assembly by welding or bolts, which can be operated around the clock. Since the steel structure itself can be used as a rigid structure to bear the structural load and construction load, there is no need to support or remove the formwork during construction, so it not only reduces the cost, but also greatly speeds up the construction speed. The construction speed of steel structures is about 115 times that of concrete structures.
The steel structure has beautiful appearance and strong plasticity. Compared with other forms, the steel structure building can go beyond the constraints of the structure to a great extent, create various forms of space and image, and produce the effect of lightness, dexterity and transparency. As a common modeling method for steel structure buildings, oblique lines and curves have created many novel and beautiful architectural images, and their powerful modeling potential is beyond the reach of brick-concrete structures.
For buildings of the same scale, the emission of harmful gases during the construction of steel structures is only 65% of that of concrete structures. The steel structure is dry construction and rarely uses sand, stone, soil, cement and other bulk materials, thus fundamentally avoiding pollution problems such as dust, waste accumulation and noise.
Application:
As an important load-bearing structural system, steel frame structure is widely used in residential, office, entertainment and other public buildings.
